guiltyofreading
Notes about every book I've read or listened to, and DVD, film or play I've seen in 2006. It's an experiment, really, to see if I can keep up with it all year. I've never lasted longer than the first week of January when trying to do this in a paper journal. So don't expect erudition. These are just notes to help me remember later.

what i'm reading
- getting things done (david allen)
This is evidently the hottest organizational book/system out there right now, but I hadn't heard of it until one day when I heard of it twice. There are all sorts of websites devoted to "Getting Things Done" and I finally got curious enough to buy the book. Will let you know what I think.
- a place of hiding (elizabeth george)
British mysteries written by an American writer. Odd, that. But I'm a fan and this is the latest in the Inspector Lynley (of BBC Mystery fame) series.
- the warden (anthony trollope)
I'm reading this for book club. I'm having to plow my way through it, but I figure I'd better, since it was my suggestion. Ooops!
- save the cat (blake snyder)
A solid process for developing ideas and outlining screenplays. I'm working my way through it, and so far am enjoying the process.
what i'm listening to
- on writing (stephen king)
If you're interested in writing, you should read this book. Even if you're afraid of the dark and reading Stephen King gives you nightmares -- you still should read this book. It's that good. And if you'd prefer to listen to the audibook, that's fine, too. Stephen King is a very good reader as well as writer.
- soul to soul (stevie ray vaughan)
The original CD, however. I see here that there's a new remastered one with previously unreleased cuts. Yay! New Stevie Ray!
